Ahren and I lucked out during check-in at the hotel in Espinho, Portugal. We somehow got assigned the penthouse apartment with two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a jacuzzi. Ok, I'm pulling your leg about the jacuzzi, but talk about a room with a view! Not only could we see right across the beach as far out into the Atlantic as the eye could see, but we also had a front court seat (albeit from well above the stadium) for watching all the matches.

There is nothing like relaxing in our own pad, keeping an eye on the competition, and arriving for our warm-up/match with perfect timing.

Note to self: request room 1205 for Espinho 2008!
