Brent Kern, also knows as B.K., is an ever-contributing member of our support team, and accompanied us for part of this trip to Hermosa Beach.

He is a man of many abilities, and during our trip, he helped us out in all the usual areas; photography, video editing, cooking, ball-shagging, humour, entertainment, etc. But just when we thought we saw all his skills, he goes and impresses us on the beach court, too. Filling in for a training partner that didn't show up, he missed only 1 of 76 service attempts to Ahren and I, during one of our practice sessions. And they weren't underhand free balls either, they were solid floaties that gave us all we can handle. Try it at home folks and you'll find out just how difficult a task that is.

What other surprises does this guy have up his sleeve? Well, we hope to find out, as he plans to join us on tour for a couple of events mid-summer.
